Location

Science Centre AHHAA is located in Sadama 1, Tartu

  • Arriving by car: from the direction of Tallinn (Riia street), turn left after McDonald's; from the direction of Võru (Turu street) turn right before the Zeppelin shopping centre.
  • Arriving by bus: the bus station is just around the corner. The closest city bus stops are "Ahhaa" (lines 9 and 25), "Aura veekeskus" (lines 3, 6, 7, 11 and 12), "Soola I" (lines 6, 7, 13 and 21), "Soola II" (line 5) and "Kesklinn" (lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 11, 12 and 25). See timetable here.

Parking 

AHHAA has two parking spaces for the visitors (see the detailed scheme below):

  • under the centre (accessible from Sadama street; maximum vehicle height 1.9 meters)
  • behind the centre (accessible from Väike-Turu street)
NB! To register for parking, use the e-ticket machine opposite the ticket office in the lobby.

There are 4 parking lots for groups buses in front of the centre. To park the bus for groups, you need to ask for a parking card from the ticket office and place it on the windshield of the bus. With a parking card, you can park in front of the center for free for 3 hours.

Newton Café
  • The Newton Café is a nice place to eat and relax on the 2nd floor of AHHAA. Newton is accessible from both the main door and the side door. You can also enter with a pushchair from the main door.
  • At Newton, care has been taken to ensure that children have a children's menu that caters to their wishes and a children's corner with plenty of play options.
  • You do not need to buy a ticket for the AHHAA Centre to visit Newton. Visitors to the AHHAA Centre can visit the Newton café for the entire time they are in the centre. Parking is also free of charge for Newton visitors.

Information for visitors with special needs
  • AHHAA Science Centre is wheelchair accessible. However, several exhibits may not be wheelchair accessible.
  • The AHHAA underground car park has a specially marked disabled parking area.
  • Our building has two lifts for easy access to the entire centre, including the underground car park and the planetarium. The lifts are located in the lobby and the Technology hall.
  • The ramp to the centre is at the main entrance.
  • Invalid toilets are located in the lobby next to the cloakrooms, in the our nature hall on the side of the water world and on the second floor by the Lektoorium lecture hall.

Visiting with a toddler or infantWhen visiting AHHAA with a toddler or infant, there is a separate quiet room for breastfeeding, hygiene and other necessary activities.
More information
  • The cloakroom is located in the lobby, to the left of the main entrance.
  • The coat racks are unattended. AHHAA is not responsible for unattended clothing and other items.
  • There are lockable lockers in the lobby of the centre, which lock with the use of a metal coin (if there's no coin in the locker, please ask for one at the ticket desk).
