Environmental Policy

A core aspect of our activities is valuing a sustainable living environment based on knowledge. Therefore, in achieving our goals, we adhere to environmentally friendly and sustainable development principles. Our actions are guided by the following environmental principles:

  • We consider the potential environmental impact of our activities — when planning exhibitions and events, we focus on the sustainable use of materials and recycling opportunities.
  • We use natural resources, including energy and water, efficiently and consciously, and share this knowledge with our visitors.
  • We reduce waste and promote recycling — our shop reuses packaging for goods; we repurpose exhibits and props or their components; used inventory is primarily given new purposes; broken electronic devices are utilized in educational activities.
  • We minimize paper usage by adopting digital office software solutions. Outdated printed materials are shared with visitors or reused in workshops. We prefer digital advertisements over printed ones.
  • We prioritize bulk and package-free supplies.
  • We prevent hazardous substances from entering the environment and dispose of items and waste responsibly; we also promote environmental values to various target groups.
  • We value a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, which is regularly monitored.
  • We provide environmental training for employees, involve them in decision-making, and offer continuous feedback on ongoing processes.
  • AHHAA is easily accessible via public transport, city bikes, or on foot, ensuring minimal environmental pollution from travel.
  • We constantly monitor, evaluate, and improve our environmental performance.
  • Information about nearby parks, landscapes, and nature reserves is easily accessible to visitors.
  • We provide information on the nearest bicycle rental services.
